Welcome to the internet home of Nvuah.During the past two years, my most formative so far, Nvuah has become what it is. The ability to finally define that entity gives me great joy. I will try, in five statements, to describe the essence of this thing which I have dedicated my life to creating.
Some of these claims are common, especially in New Age spirituality. Many paths offer the same things and none of them are less than Nvuah or even very different from it. So what makes Nvuah special?
Nvuah offers the opportunity to explore the wild side of the Spirit World. It delves into some of the more controversial practices of the occult to give its practitioners the tools necessary to create miraculous experiences for themselves and others. Those who complete the basic level of training in Nvuah, mastering simple energy techniques, can move on to more advanced training in such areas as trance, glossolalia (speaking in tongues), spiritual evocation, and possession. While these things may seem outlandish to anyone in the mainstream world, those who have experienced them feel an incredible sense of faith, empowerment, and peace. These fringe activities bring us into a "dark" place where we can see the light in ourselves. They bring us to the discomfort of our limits and help us grow.
This explains the name of our practice, Nvuah. It is a Hebrew word which means "prophecy" but not only in the traditional sense of delivering psychic predictions. Make no mistake, Nvuah has facilitated the growth of some talented psychics, but there is more to the oracular vision of Nvuah than just making predictions or even present time assessments of one's life or personality. Nvuah is ecstasy, dance, chanting, deep ritual, and mind magick. Nvuah is a powerfully artistic path in which the individual is given the necessary tools but must generate and then profess his or her own experiences. Along the way, those who dedicate time and effort, love and openness to Nvuah are given back healing and power threefold to walk through life unfettered by internal strife.
It sounds amazing, doesn't it? I suppose the next issue is, how much does it cost? Training in Nvuah is and always has been free as all spiritual teaching should be. What you put into it is what you get out of it and it has very little to do with material economy. Donations are accepted to help pay for ritual tools and materials but there is no pressure and no embarrassing collection basket is passed around at training sessions, open Circles, or Rites of Passage. The only thing in Nvuah with a predetermined price is the one time ritual of Dedication for practitioners completing basic level training who would like to move on to more advanced training. The price is $22, an intentionally auspicious number, which covers supplies.
The other beauty of what we do is that you will never be pressured to come back. If you come to a meditation or a Circle and like it, you will be welcomed back but you may not find Nvuah to be the path for you. If it is not, then no practitioner or teacher of Nvuah would want you to continue against your better judgment. If it is, then fair journey to you as you move forward through our Mysteries.
Brightest Blessings,
Rev. Joshua William M Berkowitz
